About Me

I'm originally from São Paulo, Brazil. I am passionate about solving problems by using design and technology. My goal in my daily work is to give a human touch to a data-driven approach. Empathy, research, and data guide my design decisions in order to deliver the best experiences for users.

I love to work in a collaborative environment, creating things together with stakeholders, developers, and other designers. I believe that design is teamwork, and cooperating is the best way to achieve outstanding results.

Currently, I'm working at King, creating fun and engaging game experiences. Previously, I worked at Google and, by 2019, I was a UX Designer at Klarna, the biggest Scandinavian Fintech. From 2016 to 2019, I was working at Booking.com, helping Booking's loyalty program to grow to millions of users per day. For 7 years, I worked at my own design company, PopUp Design, based in São Paulo.

How I Work

Learn

The first step of my design process is to learn everything about the product and what role it plays in the user's daily life. At this phase, I use my time to research and analyze all the past data that I have available by doing research, interviews, and studying the product.

Create

After understand better the problems and opportunities, I start the creation phase. I believe good design comes with collaboration and different points of view from diverse people. Working collaboratively means that I will not be the only one creating in isolation. At that phase, I will listen, mediate workshops, and co-create with Product Owners, Developers, Copywriter, Designers, and Users.

I'm able to work in all creation process, which includes problem analysis, planning, hypothesis creation, brainstorm sessions, wireframing and prototyping, workshops, Visual Design, Interaction Design, UX Design, HTML, CSS, and JS development.

Test

Validation is a super important step in my Design Process. By testing the solutions, I can understand better the impact it had on people and product, and collect useful learnings to plan the next steps. To do that, I work with different methods such as A/B Testing, User Tests, Surveys, Interviews, Usability Tests, and so on.

I don't want to make decisions based only on my gut feeling. Data, empathy, user feedbacks will guide me to figure out what is the best design. Testing is the best way to make informed design decisions.

Repeat

The design is never done. I think we always have space to improve the design of the product. People will change, technology will change, the environment will change. The design needs to evolve at the same pace as all these changes.

After learn, create, and test it's time to look back to everything that was done, collect all the discoveries, and start to learn again!
